Massimo (芋) is an Indonesian filmmaker who was born in Italy. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Cinema from San Francisco State University, USA in 2009. Years later, he earned an award from Sony Computer Entertainment Asia after winning the Playstation Games Apps Challenge, 2012 in Hong Kong. In 2013, he was chosen, among thousands to be a co-producer at the Indie Movie workshop in Indonesia under the supervision of Garin Nugroho. The project was selected at the Bali International Film Festival 2014 and NETPAC Asian Film Festival, 2014. His next film was a musical called "Cakra Buana." The film premiered at the Bali International Film Festival, 2015 and won more than 20 awards. In 2017, he was selected as part of the Kyoto Filmmakerslab program as the production manager of a short Jidaigeki Film.
